SHAPING THE FUTURE - FOR A BETTER DUNELAND
CAPITAL CAMPAIGN
INTRODUCING THE NEW DUNELAND YMCA HEALTHY LIVING CAMPUS – OPENING SPRING 2026
From our beginnings almost 60 years ago, the Duneland Family YMCA’s history has been marked by undeniable accomplishments in the face of the challenges of changing times, but more than anything, what marks our history is our commitment to helping people. The Y is a safe, reliable community resource where both the young and young-at-heart can learn, grow, and connect with family and community members.
The mission of the Duneland YMCA remains constant while its programs and services have adapted and evolved to meet the challenges facing children, teens, families, and adults. This work is possible thanks to donors and volunteers who give their time and financial support to the YMCA so generously.

ELEVATING THE DUNELAND OF TODAY
“Let’s build something remarkable – because the best legacy we can leave Duneland is a brighter future for our children and families.”

INVESTING IN THE FUTURE OF DUNELAND
WE BELIEVE that positive, lasting personal and social change can only come about when we all work together to invest in our children, our health, and our neighbors.
WE BELIEVE that when we devote our full strength to our mission and cause, work in collaboration with others, and build on our commitment to the children, families, and those in need, we can address the most pressing issues of our community unlike any other organization.

Demolition will be completed Winter of 2024. We will begin sitework in April of 2025. We plan to break ground on the Wellness Center addition in Summer of 2025 and open the new facility Spring of 2026.
The current phase of the project is being funded by generous donors who believe in the work of the Y’s impact on the Duneland and surrounding communities. The completion of this project and future phases will require raising additional funds. We welcome all donations, opportunities for room/area sponsorships, and match programs. We are currently operating programs and classes at the current location and limited programs and classes at the new location. Current Duneland YMCA members will benefit from upgraded facilities and expanded program offerings and services. At this time, an increase in membership and/or program fees have not been determined.
We are currently operating as a YMCA until the new facility is complete. We have outgrown our current location, which needs extensive renovations and additions to fully service the community like the new location will be able to do. We are grateful that our current location has been our home for many years and look forward to growing into our new location for many more years to come! Future use and plans have not been determined.
ALL plans, drawings, photos, and named areas of the project are only concepts at this time and subject to change. We are still working through final details and will share more information soon.
