Welcome to the Duneland Family YMCA

At the Y, strengthening community is our cause. The Duneland Family YMCA is in your community to nurture the potential of every child and teen, to improve health and well-being, and to give back and provide support to our neighbors.

The Y is for everyone. Our programs, services and initiatives: enable kids to realize their potential, prepare teens for college, offer ways for families to have fun together, empower people to be healthier in spirit, mind and body, prepare people for empowerment, welcome and embrace newcomers and help foster a service ethic. That's just the beginning.

All classes place heavy emphasis on water safety. From 6 months through 2 years old, children and parents work together to explore the aquatic environment, gain confidence while learning basic swim fundamentals. From ages 3 to 6 years old, beginner swimmers will learn swimming fundamentals while becoming confident and independent. They'll streamline their endurance, kicks and underwater swimming techniques as well as learning basic swim styles. More advanced classes for kids that move through water independently work toward advanced endurance, flip turns and advanced swim styles like backstroke and breaststroke.
